Can I Pawn My Firearm?

Can I Pawn My Gun?
That's a common question, and the answer is… YES!
You can absolutely pawn your firearm. As a matter of fact, that is a great way to get a nice chunk of change when you need it the most.
Do you have an old shotgun laying around that you never really use? How about that handgun that hasn’t seen the light of day in years? Do you have an unexpected expense that popped up out of nowhere? Hey.. we have all been there. Come by the pawnshop and let's see how much cash we can put in your pocket today!
What’s next?
Come on down to the pawnshop with your gun (unloaded please).
Don’t forget if you are not old enough to own the gun, you will not be able to pawn it. As a matter of fact, if you're not old enough to own the gun, turn the car around and find something else to pawn.
Don’t forget to bring a valid photo ID with you. We absolutely cannot do any business involving firearms without a valid photo ID. I cannot stress this enough! Bring a valid photo ID if you would like to pawn your firearm.
Last but not least, you will need to pass a background check for us to return your firearm to you once the pawn is paid up. So, don’t do anything you will regret during the time between pawning your gun and picking it up. Actually, try not to do anything you will regret, ever!
any experts in the house???
If there is one thing that we know a lot about at the pawnshop it’s guns. Firearms are a huge part of our business, so we are well acquainted with a large range of firearms.
From handguns to semi-automatic weapons and everything in between, our knowledgeable staff can help you pawn your gun for a fair amount, sell your gun, or help you pick out your next favorite piece!
should i pawn, or should i sell?
That is completely up to you. But, either way you go, the pawnshop can help. We offer up a fair offer either way. Do you need or want the gun anymore? If not, sell that thang!
Need to get caught up on a bill or did an unexpected emergency rear its ugly head? Pawn that bad boy, take care of business, then come pick it back up!
Everyone’s situation is unique. Need help deciding? Talk with one of our friendly pawnbrokers and they would be happy to give you their thoughts on your situation.
why not sell my gun privately?
That is always an option, and you may make a little more cash, but here is my take on that. Unless you run a background check on the person that is interested in buying your firearm, you never know who you are selling your gun to.
Honestly, that makes me nervous. I mean, think about it. What if a felon, or an angry spouse, or a disgruntled employee of some local business purchases a gun from you and goes on to commit a crime with that gun? I personally don’t know if I could live with myself knowing that it was a possibility.
It’s smarter and more responsible to pawn or sell your gun at the pawnshop. We know exactly who we are selling our firearms to by performing federal background checks and requiring photo ID. We also reserve the right to not sell a firearm to anybody at our discretion.
so what’s it gonna be?
Are you interested in pawning or selling your gun? Come on by and let us take a look at it. Don’t forget, be old enough to own the gun, bring your valid Photo ID, and don’t do anything that will show up on a background check because we will run one when you come to pick up your gun. Each one of our pawnbrokers is more than ready to help you with all your firearm needs and would be glad to assist you any way that they can.
