ffl transfers made easy (the quick guide)
At Pocket Pawn, we know that getting your hands on the perfect gun can sometimes be a tricky business. Sometimes, the exact make and model you're looking for just isn't available at your local gun store.
But fear not! There's a solution: FFL transfers.
ffl transfers?
So, what exactly are FFL transfers?
Well, simply put, it's a way for you to purchase a firearm online from a reputable site, but instead of shipping it to your house (which would be illegal by the way) it's shipped to your local FFL (that's us!) so that we can handle the background check process.
The process is pretty simple. You find a gun online that you want, purchase the gun from that website, then choose us as your FFL (Federal Firearm Licensee).
The website you purchased from will then ship the gun to us with your information attached. Once received, we’ll log the firearm into our books and store it safely until you come pick it up.
so… why would i do that?
Now, you might be thinking, "Why bother with all this extra hassle? Can't I just buy a gun in-store?"
And sure, you can.
But if you're after a specific firearm that's not available at your local store, FFL transfers are a great option. Because let’s face it, some gun stores just carry snakes and sparklers, and you’re more of a roman candle kind of person.
So - you can find exactly what you're looking for online and have it shipped directly to us for pickup!
that sounds expensive.
Now, you might also be thinking, "But won't that cost me an arm and a leg in transfer fees?"
And while it's true that some FFLs charge anywhere from $35 to $100 per transfer, here at Pocket Pawn, we like to keep things affordable.
That's why we only charge $20 for each FFL transfer, no matter the value of the firearm.
the most important part…
Plus, let's not forget the most important part: the background check. No matter how you purchase your firearm, whether in-store or via an FFL transfer, you'll still have to go through the same criminal background check process to ensure that you're eligible to own a firearm.
Sorry, criminals. You’re out of luck here.
in conclusion
So, there you have it: FFL transfers in a nutshell. If you're on the hunt for a specific firearm, don't give up hope just yet. Give us a call or swing by the shop, and we'll be happy to help you get your hands on the perfect gun for you.
