Everyone wants a great deal, right? Pawnshops are a great place to find that once in a lifetime deal on an item you have been waiting to get your hands on forever. I feel your pain. You walk into a big box store or the mall and you just pass by that laptop or that T.V. because you know it’s just too expensive. The pawnshop is the perfect solution. You just need to know the best way to successfully get your hands on those items.

1) shop often
Maybe you are looking for a certain tool that would help with that home improvement project. Or you are trying to get your hands on the perfect handgun you have wanted forever.
Chances are, you can get it if you keep your eyes open and come into the shop often. Pawnshop inventory changes by the minute, so the more often you stop in, the higher the chance of snagging that perfect tool for the job or that sweet Glock you’ve had your eye on.
Okay, so that is pretty common sense, but why would I spend so much of my valuable time constantly checking in at the pawnshop? I mean, that’s a legit question.

2) don’t come looking for a specific item (just browse for a great deal!)
This is by far the most efficient way to find a sweet deal. Just come to the pawnshop and look around. You will find something that your heart desires at a price that you can’t pass up.
This is personally how I shop. I can’t tell you how many times I walk into the pawnshop and find an item I didn’t even know I needed until I saw the price tag.
On top of the already low prices, you may be able to strike an even better deal and make the pawnbroker an offer they can’t refuse! Which is a perfect transition to my next tip…
3) always ask for a discount
Don’t be shy! Everyone is looking for a great deal. There is nothing wrong with asking for a lower price on an item.
As a matter of fact, it’s expected.
Pawnbrokers are more than willing to cut a deal. I mean, think about it. They are trying just as hard to make a sale as you are to get a deal. There is nothing quite like finding that magic dollar amount that makes everybody happy.
Moral of the story: Always, always, always, ask for a discount! You will be happy you did.

Communication is key! It’s like when you go to the doctor. If you don’t tell them what’s wrong, they can’t help you.
If you need a ring, tell the pawnbroker. If you need a gaming console, tell the pawnbroker. If you need a crossbow, tell the pawnbroker. Are you seeing the pattern here?
Pawnshops are full of items that are waiting to be released for sale. Just because you don’t see what you are looking for today doesn’t mean it will not be pulled from the back tomorrow. Don’t miss out on that perfect deal by a matter of hours just because you didn’t tell the pawnbroker what you are looking for!
